SEHCO is a community group for residents of Housing Association estates across Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. It is managed and run by Housing Association residents.
We work with residents on local estates who want to make a difference within their community. They might want to organise a football tournament for young people, organise an outing or develop a community garden.
We employ community development and youth work staff to support the residents. We have been able to secure funding from First Wessex, Lloyds TSB, the Big Lottery, Portsmouth City Council, Fareham Borough Council and other funders to help us do that.
We have a Community Activity Fund to support community activities on local First Wessex estates.
We also manage Spithead Resource Centre, which is a well equipped meeting and training resource room that can be hired.
